Discussion & Documentation:

Johann Heinrich Beck and his family came from Gelnhaar. He and his wife Julianna arrived in the port at Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 along with their children: Magdalena (age 16), Johann (age 7½), and Sybilla Barbara (age 1). They arrived in Walter on 10 September 1767 (except for son Johann who evidently died in route) and are listed there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 88.
