Johann Heinrich Brill and his wife Barbara Elisabeth from Neuenschmidten. They were married on 17 Mar 1747. Of their eight children (each born in Neuenschmidten), five arrived with them in Russia on 9 August 1766: Johann Heinrich, b. 29 January 1752, Johann Jacob, b. 13 October 1754, Anna Margaretha, b. 11 January 1757, Conrad, b. 23 February 1758, Anna Catharina, b. 24 April 1761, and Elisabeth Catharina, b. 16 December 1763.

The family arrived in the Volga German colony of Norka on 15 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 73.
