Johann Bernhardt Kirschbaum was born 19 October 1707 in Hochstatten, Pfalz, Germany. His parents were Johann Peter Kirschbaum and Agnesia Meissenheimer. He married Catharina Margaretha Bender on 2 February 1736. The father’s name is listed as “Bernhard” in Kulberg and “Leonhard” in the Transport. He has died by the time the Frank 1767 Census was taken - the mother is listed as a widow.

The family relocated to Kolb prior to the 1798 census.
