Discussion & Documentation:

Gottfried Achtziger, a blacksmith, and his family arrived from Danzig at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 May 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Jacob Janson.

This family has not been located on the 1767 census, but they are recorded on the 1798 census of Kolb in Household No. Ko05.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Gottfried Achtziger came from the area of Danzig.
