Widow Salomea Bittermann, a farmer's wife, and her children settled in the Volga German colony of Reinwald on 14 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 24.
The 1767 census records that Salomea Bittermann came from the German village of Killingen in the Württemberg region.
