Johann Heinrich Döring, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 15 August 1767.

They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 150.  At some point, Johann Heinrich's son, Nikolaus, moved to Moor because in 1789, Nikolaus Döring is recorded moving from Moor to Norka.

The 1767 census records that Johann Heinrich Döring came from the German district of Isenburg.
