Konrad Dewald, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Rewal at the port of Oranienbaum on 31 May 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Anton on 20 March 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 49 along with newborn son Johann Adam (age ¼).
The 1767 census records that Konrad Dewald came from the German "Oberamt Neustadt" in the Kurpfalz region.
