Discussion & Documentation:

Friedrich Dubach and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Warenburg on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 149 along with son Thomas Christoph (age 1).

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Friedrich Dubach was a silversmith from the German region of Bernau. The 1767 census records that he was a guilder (Vergolder) from the town of Potsdam.
