Discussion & Documentation:

Philipp Eichner, a farmer, and his family immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) in 1762.  In 1765, they joined the migration to Russia.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Balzer on 28 March 1766 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 37.

By 1798, Philipp's son Johann Philipp is recorded in the colony of Moor (Mo60) with the surname of Egner. This spelling appears to continue in Moor.
