Discussion & Documentation:

[Georg] Heinrich Forst, a farmer, his wife Anna, and daughter Susanna (age 12), arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard an English frigate under the command of Skipper Adam Beerfeier.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Nieder-Monjou on 3 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 25.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Georg Heinrich Forst came from the German region of Darmstadt.

There do not appear to be any surviving male descendants of this family among the Volga German colonies.
