Sebastian Götte, a farmer, settled in the Volga German colony of Schuck on 18 June 1766. He and his family are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 7.

In 1790, Johann Georg Götte moved from Schuck to Pfeifer.

The 1767 census records that Sebastian Götte came from the German village of Bürstadt in the region of Mainz.
