[Johann] Peter Herr, a farmer, his wife Maria, children [Maria, age 11; Johann, age 7; Ernst, age 4], and his sister Margaretha (age 43) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Jakob Bauer.
Surviving children Maria Katharina (age 13) and Johann Peter (age 10) settled in the Volga German colony of Schwab and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 45.
The 1767 census records that Johann Peter Herr came from the German village of Anburg [?] in the Nassau region.
