Thomas Kessler, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 28 April 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 9.
The 1767 census records that Thomas Kessler came from the German village of Königshofen [probably in Nassau, since other Volga German settlers were from that Königshofen].
