Johann Heinrich Krissel, a single weaver (Weber), settled in the Volga German colony of Degott on 18 July 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 11.

The 1767 census records that Johann Heinrich Krissel came from the German village of Steinen in the Hannover region.
