Johann Michael Krutsch, a farmer, and his siblings arrived from L├╝beck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Stahl am Karaman where they are recorded on the 1798 census in Households No. Sk11 & Sk18.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Michael Krutsch came from the German district of Dienheim.
