Discussion & Documentation:

Sebastian Leikam (age 18) and his brothers Anton (age 16) & Andreas (age 13) settled in the Volga German colony of Ober-Monjou on 17 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 35 along with their stepfather, Christoph Vogel. The translation of the 1767 census by Igor Plehve erroneously records this surname as Lenkof.

In 1780, Andreas Leikam moved from Ober-Monjou to Katharinenstadt.
