Peter Lotz and his family immigrated to Russia from the German village of Breitenbach.  The family arrived at the port of Oranienbaum from Lübeck on 15 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Hans Karholm. They arrived in the Volga German colony of Nieder-Monjou on 3 August 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 Census in Household No. 72.
