Widower Johann Jakob Müller, a farmer, and his children arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766.
The father died after arrival in Russia. The surviving children settled in the Volga German colony of Kutter and are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 32 along with the Georg Friedrich Müller family. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between these two Müller families.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Jakob Müller came from the German region of Isenburg.
