Discussion & Documentation:

Georg Adam Meier and his family immigrated first to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) in 1761. They left there in 1763 and joined the migration to Russia.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Shcherbakovka on 15 June 1765 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 19.

In 1790, widow Christina Meier and her children moved from Shcherbakovka to Holstein.

The 1767 census of Shcherbakovka records that this Meier family is from the German village of Weissach.
