Ludwig Georg & Anna Margaretha Michel came from the German village of Oberreichenbach.  The baptisms of three of their children are recorded in the parish records of neighboring Unterreichenbach: (1) Anna Elisabeth on 14 April 1754; (2) Johann Adam on 21 January 1757; and (3) Anna Eva on 2 March 1760.

The family immigrated to Russia arriving from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Huck on 1 July 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 55.

They have another son, Johann Georg, who in 1789 moved from Huck to Norka.
