Paul Otto, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Wiebe Heinrichson.

Paul died before reaching the Volga German colonies.  His widow, Appolonia, remarried to Friedrich Stahl.  They settled in the Volga German colony of Kukkus on 26 June 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 28.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Paul Otto came from the German district of Pfalz.
