Rockel / Rogel
According to Wayne Bonner's research on the Rockel family that settled in Balzer and Moor, Johann Georg Rockel was baptized 26 January 1765 in the Hessen town of Lauterbach. He was the son of Johann Valentin Rockel and his second wife Susanna Elisabeth Eurich. Georg along with his parents and older half siblings Johann, UIrich, Catharina and Elisabeth arrived in Russian on the ship Der Junge Mathias on 4 July 1766. Johann Georg left Moor in 1788 and settled in Kolb.
The surname was spelled "Rogel" in subsequent records.
