The marriage of Johannes Schlotthauer and Anna Maria Eckert is recorded on 9 April 1766 in the parish records of Spielberg. 

Johann Schlotthauer, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766.

The couple settled in the Volga German colony of Huck on 1 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 11.
