Friedrich Stahl and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Wiebe Heinrichson.
Friedrich's wife Anna died before reaching the Volga German colonies. He remarried to the widow Appolonia Otto and they settled in the Volga German colony of Kukkus on 26 June 1767 where they are recorded along with their combined children on the 1767 census in Household No. 28.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Friedrich Stahl came from the German region of Braunfels.
