Discussion & Documentation:

Christoph Weinberger and his family immigrated to Russia. Christoph died before reaching Russia. His widow Magdalena and children arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Johann Skott.

Magdalena remarried to Johannes Müller and they settled in the Volga German colony of Norka. The combined Müller and Weinberger families are recorded on the 1767 census of Norka in Household No. 171.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that the Weinberger family came from the German district of Isenburg.
